The GLAAD Awards 2023 had huge celebrities attending the accolade in support of LGBTQ+ concerns in the community. The 34th annual accolade is all about honoring the media personalities who have been outstanding in their works that highlight the LGBTQ+ community and its concerns.
According to Kozak, the GLAAD Awards 2023 was attended by some of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood which began with the host, American actress-comedian Margaret Cho. Familiar faces in the audience included Geena Davis, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lisa Ann Walter, Vanessa Williams, Zaya Wade and her Gabrielle Union. Other celebrities that attended included Diplo, G Flip, Lance Bass, Jennifer Coolidge, Billy Eichner, Frankie Grande, Jane Lynch, Orville Peck, Chrishell Stause, and Michelle Visage.
Big Winners on the GLAAD Awards 2023
According to Huff, among the big winners on the night of the GLAAD Awards 2023 were Christina Aguilera, Bad Bunny, and Jeremy Pope who took home trophies for their contribution in the LGBTQ+ community. Furthermore, 15 winners of 33 categories were also announced for several series, with “The White Lotus” and “What We Do in the Shadows” at the top. Films like “A League of Their Own” and “Bros” have also won awards. The rest of the winners for the GLAAD Awards 2023 are reportedly to be announced in May. Another ceremony will apparently be held in New York and the whole event is expected to be streamed on Hulu starting yesterday, April 12.
