1. Jacksonville

The Bold City of the South, Jacksonville is on the first list of one of the most dangerous cities in Florida. With more than 962,000 this year, Jacksonville undoubtedly made it to the top in terms of absolute number of crimes. It was disclosed to have 647 total violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019.

2. Miami

Miami, famous for its beaches and called The Magic City is included in the second spot of one of the most dangerous cities in Florida. With more than 435,000 people as of 2023, Miami has high violent crimes with property crimes even higher. A record said that it has 593 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019.

3. Orlando

With a currently more than 312,000 population, Orlando is put in the third of one of the most dangerous cities in Florida. A grant of $2.25 million which oversaw decreasing crimes was applied by commissioners of the city. The city has tallied 738 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019.

Car thefts were seen to be rising in the city, with 595 total violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019.

5. Tallahassee

Tallahassee is in the fifth spot of one of the most dangerous cities in Florida. The term Tallahassee comes after a Creek word meaning “old town” and is the capital city of Florida. The city was host to survivors of crime and families of murder victims with over 198,000 people this 2023. Tallahassee reported 697 total violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019.
