Sgt. Andrew Parish of Moraine Police stated that on May 18, at around 9 p.m., a man allegedly entered DMAX, an automotive manufacturing plant, in Ohio. Parish added that the Ohio shooting seemed intentional and a targeted attack against the lone victim who was declared dead at the scene. Another victim reportedly sustained a gunshot injury, but they were immediately transported to a hospital.

An article in CNN states that following the Ohio shooting, the suspect was found dead, apparently from a self-inflected gunshot injury. Reports say authorities were expected to release an update on the incident yesterday, May 19.

Apart from Ohio Shooting

According to Schladebeck, the same day the Ohio shooting happened, two individuals were also injured at the Pearl River Solar Park in Scott County, Mississippi. Sheriff Mike Lee stated that around 7 a.m., deputies responded to a report about a shooting incident at the solar plant.

Reportedly, authorities believed that an argument broke out between the two injured individuals where one had fired a gun. Nonetheless, the shooter is already in custody in Scott County and is being treated for their injuries at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. To date, Lee states that the Mississippi shooting is still under investigation. In addition, the charges to be faced by the suspect are expected to follow.
