$400 in Tax Rebates in Virginia
Residents and taxpayers in Virginia have days left to file their 2022 state income taxes to get tax rebates of up to $400. The regular deadline was set for May 1, but it was extended to November 1 as granted to the taxpayers in the state.
In a published article in the Gazette, single filers will receive an amount of $200 while those who file jointly will receive an amount of $400. There is no specific timetable for when to receive the tax rebates or for specific taxpayer eligibility.
State Gov. Glenn Youngkin Released a Statement
According to an article published in KIPLINGER, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said, “As Virginians continue to face inflation and high prices as a direct result of policies out of Washington, D.C., these rebates are an important step going into the holiday season to help Virginians keep more of their hard-earned money for gas, groceries, and essentials.”
He also added, “My administration has delivered over $5 billion in tax relief to Virginians, and we remain committed to lowering the cost of living for working families and veterans across Virginia. It’s their money, not the government’s.”
