Identity of Woman Found Dead 37 Years Ago in California Revealed

The identity of a woman found dead in California over 37 years ago has been determined by investigators. Her body was discovered in August 1986 showing signs of serious harm and her death was ruled a homicide. Despite ongoing efforts her identity remained unknown until February 2022 when advanced DNA techniques revealed her to be Maria Pilar Del Gadillo Carrillo, a 43-year-old Mexican woman who had recently immigrated to the U.S. at the time of her death, according to the crime report of True Crime Daily.
