Bonus Checks in Pennsylvania

According to Duncan, the residents of the town of McKeesport, Pennsylvania are receiving bonus checks worth up to $3,000. These payments are prompted when a police officer, Sean Sluganski, was killed during a shooting incident. Because of this, the entire McKeesport Police Department had to shut down operations for two whole weeks and several employees have lost income.

Fortunately, Mayor Michael Cherepko authorized the $3,000 in bonus checks to residents who have been impacted by the tragedy. The payments were included in the payrolls that were issued on February 24. To be eligible for the bonus checks, an individual must have lost an income that includes overtime and court matters. All police officers, including the chief of police and even part-timers, are eligible for the bonus checks.
