A heated argument between two individuals ended in a fatal shooting in East Patchogue. Suffolk County Police swiftly responded to the scene, ultimately leading to the arrest of Brent Henry, a 59-year-old Riverhead resident, on charges of second-degree murder, a published article reported.
Fatal Shooting in East Patchogue Claims 1 Life
The victim in the fatal shooting in East Patchogue was identified as 23-year-old Ines Reyes from Bellport. The conflict between Henry and Reyes transpired in front of a residence on Amsterdam Avenue, erupting into a deadly confrontation.
Authorities reported that at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, they received a 911 call alerting them to the sound of gunshots in the neighborhood. Before law enforcement officers could reach the fatal shooting in East Patchogue scene, Reyes had been rushed to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue by friends.
Despite medical efforts, Reyes was pronounced dead.

Suspect of the Fatal Shooting in East Patchogue Arrested
Following the fatal shooting in East Patchogue, an extensive investigation was launched by the Suffolk Homicide Squad detectives, leading to the arrest of Brent Henry.
Henry is currently in custody and is set to be arraigned on Sunday at the First District Court in Central Islip, as confirmed by law enforcement officials, Riverhead Local reported.
Local authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the fatal shooting in East Patchogue to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
