The Health and Human Services Commission of Texas recently advised recipients of the Medicaid 2023 to submit the renewal packets they have received last April. This submission intends to return the information to Texas HHSC to prevent possible shortage in the funding. Fortunately, the deadline to submit the renewal packets has been extended to May 15 from the previous deadline of May 8.According to Russ, the Health and Human Services Commission of Texas is alternating the reassessments for Medicaid 2023 over the past couple months. Nonetheless, the reassessments will most likely prioritize those who are no longer eligible for the program.

Medicaid 2023 Renewal Mails
According to Araiza, the Health and Human Services Commission of Texas had been informing recipients of the Medicaid 2023 about the submission and the deadline of the renewal online or through mail. The agency stated that the mails are placed inside a yellow envelope that says “Action Required” in red. On the other hand, the electronic notices are sent to recipients who opted not to use paper and have a Your Texas Benefits account.
