Nomination for White House Economic Adviser
An article in the Spectrum News 1 states that Biden previously announced the nomination for White House economic adviser last February. According to Biden, Bernstein was an expert on empowering workers and economic policies that focus on workers which is the purpose of his economic vision.
However, Bernstein’s nomination for White House economic adviser has apparently made him the target of Republican lawmakers. Bernstein was the chief advocate of the COVID-19 relief package worth $1.9 trillion which critics believe has caused the worsening inflation. Nonetheless, Bernstein and other officials from the White House argued that the relief package revived the employment in the country at a significant scale.
