McDonald’s Drive Thru Incident in Florida: Woman Pulls Out Loaded Gun During Argument

Amari Bente Hendricks faced several charges after pulling out a loaded gun during an argument at a McDonald’s drive thru in Florida. The argument reportedly stemmed from Hendricks insisting on getting a free McDonald’s cookie.

The employee at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Florida stated that Amari Bente Hendricks got mad that no one from the staff inquired if she would be using the fast-food restaurant’s rewards program. The program reportedly offers a free cookie as a reward to the customers of McDonald’s.

According to Arias, Hendricks was yelling at the employee when she went to the pickup window of the McDonald’s drive thru. She was reportedly already given a free cookie, but Hendricks continued to argue with the staff. The employee claimed that Hendricks then pulled out a gun, inserted a magazine, and went ahead and racked the slide of the gun. The employee added that she also heard two clicking sounds that seemed to sound like loading a cartridge into a chamber of a gun.

Furthermore, Hendricks allegedly left the McDonald’s drive thru parked in front of the restaurant itself. She reportedly tried to open the front door of the restaurant, but the employees had already locked the door in fear for their lives. However, reports say Hendricks had forced herself inside the and hit one of the employees several times before forcing him out of the restaurant. When police authorities arrived, they discovered that the employee suffered from several scratches to his face and neck.

Suspect Faced Charges

According to Algar, Hendricks refused to act in accordance with the police officers’ commands which resulted to a resisting arrest charge. Hendricks was reportedly age 24, from Altamonte Springs near Orlando. On February 16, she was booked into the Seminole County Jail. Hendricks faced multiple charges which include resisting an officer, an improper exhibit of a firearm, battery causing bodily harm, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
