Witness Narrates Commotion In St. Paul Bar Shooting

Peter Mazalewski, a DJ at the Seventh Street Truck Park, an indoor food truck and bar with live music and dancing, says there are usually warning signals when the atmosphere of a party is ready to change.

But that wasn’t the case early Sunday morning, when bullets pierced the air and tragically ended the celebration, he added.

Mazalewski stated that everyone was having a good time and singing along. Mazalewski, whose stage name is Peter Parker, told CNN that he heard gunshots but no disputes or fights at 12:15 a.m.. He said that everyone had fallen to the ground. While they were still filming, he claimed he had to reach up and turn off the music. The music, he reasoned, would add to the pandemonium.

Mazalewski, who works every Saturday at the Truck Park, claimed he fell to the ground and shielded his eyes. When he opened them again, he discovered four or five individuals on the floor. He said that he would no longer be able to play albums in that room. He also said that he did not feel at ease having fun there again.
