Escaped Convicted Murderer Captured on Surveillance Video a Mile from Pennsylvania Prison

Early Saturday morning, a residential surveillance camera recorded 34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante, an escaped convicted murderer, in the 1800 block of Lenape Road. This location is only about 1.5 miles from Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township.

Manhunt for Escaped Convicted Murderer

According to a report from ABC 13, An escaped convicted murderer, Danelo Cavalcante, broke free from Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township, Pennsylvania. Since his escape on Thursday at 8:50 a.m., law enforcement, including federal and local authorities, has been actively pursuing him.

He was recently captured on surveillance video at around 1:43 a.m. on Saturday, approximately 1.5 miles from the prison on Lenape Road. Despite being on the run, Danelo Cavalcante, escaped convicted murderer, was still wearing prison-issued pants and shorts underneath his clothing, along with a backpack of unknown origin.

Police have received over 100 tips from the community, including reports of possible break-ins within a one to two-mile radius of the prison, further heightening concerns about the escaped convicted murderer. On Friday night, a resident reported an attempted burglary in Pocopson Township, though it’s uncertain if it was Cavalcante.

Cavalcante, escaped convicted murderer, had been convicted of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend and had an active murder warrant from Brazil. He was sentenced to life in prison just a week before the escape. The escape itself happened at 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, and Cavalcante was spotted on Wawaset Road around 9:40 a.m.

Community Urged to Stay Vigilant as Manhunt for Escaped Convicted Murderer Intensifies

According NBC NEWS report, District Atorney Ryan stated that at present, there is no evidence indicating assistance in the escape. Ryan believes that Cavalcante, the escaped convicted murderer, is hiding locally, acting on his own.

Meanwhile, the acting prison warden, Howard Holland, confirmed an ongoing investigation into the escape of the convicted murderer. Upon the discovery of the escape, Holland mentioned that standard protocols were promptly enacted, including a special count to confirm the absence of only one inmate, in this case, the escaped convicted murderer.

Authorities are urging those with information to contact 911 or the U.S. Marshals’ Tipline at 877-WANTED-2, with a $10,000 reward for assistance in capturing the escaped convicted murderer. District Attorney Deb Ryan cautioned against approaching Cavalcante, the escaped convicted murderer, describing him as “extremely dangerous” Residents are advised to stay indoors, secure vehicles, review surveillance cameras, and report suspicious activity.
