Eligibility Criteria for the Family First Pilot Program
According to the U.S. Sun, many families in California are struggling with money issues but there’s hope on the horizon. Sacramento County is starting a new program called the Family First Pilot Program. Family First Pilot Program aimed at helping about 200 families who don’t have much money, especially Native American and African American families. If you live in certain places like Valley High or North Sacramento and have kids who are five or younger you could get $725 each month for a year which adds up to $8,700.

Financial Assistance and Empowerment
The Family First Pilot Program aims to support families especially those from Black American and American Indian or Alaskan Native backgrounds who encountered economic challenges in 2023. With monthly payments of $725 for a year totaling $8,700 the Family First Pilot Program aims to ease financial burdens and empower parents to prioritize their well-being. Renowned psychologist Dr. Steve Wirtz commends the initiative noting its potential to provide families facing financial difficulties with a sense of control and strength. The Family First Pilot Program offers hope for a brighter future irrespective of financial circumstances.
