Park City Municipal will manage a 2024 childcare assistance program with Upwards, a nationwide childcare network.

This campaign addresses family issues like rising tuition and childcare waitlists. The Park City Council has allocated $1 million for child care, recognizing its importance. The pandemic-related federal funds for child care ended in 2023, compelling the city to act.

The budget-funded initiative gives two families scholarships and financially rewards childcare providers. The project aims to benefit parents and providers by reducing family debt and boosting regulated child care. Starting January 1, qualifying families will get monthly aid on a first-come, first-served basis.
