Mercy Drive, ranking as one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Orlando, was previously notorious for heinous crimes such as robbery, rape, murder, assault, and drug-related offenses. With a predominantly low-income population of 1,836, the area continues to grapple with a high crime rate, albeit experiencing a modest 7% decrease annually in recent years.

Despite active police involvement and around-the-clock patrols, issues like targeted and drive-by shootings persist. According to FBI statistics, violent crimes here are 763% higher than the national average, with an overall crime rate 409% above average, resulting in residents facing a one in eight chance of becoming crime victims, which makes Mercy Drive as one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Orlando.

Despite its small population of 1,165, Malibu Forests, like  dangerous Orlando neighborhoods, has a surprisingly high estimated crime rate of 8,573 per 100,000 people. The most common offenses are assault, theft, burglary, and vandalism. Only two gunshots and eight arrests were recorded in the six months ending in May 2020.

Roosevelt Park, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Orlando, is a small community where crime is rampant. Property crimes are more common than violent ones, but both types are prevalent. The chances of experiencing a crime in Roosevelt Park are nearly five times higher than in the rest of Florida.

Roosevelt Park is notably more dangerous than the rest of Orlando, with a doubled risk of crime. Despite its affordable median rent of $929, the safety concerns in the neighborhood may make it less desirable, highlighting the trade-offs in the cost of living in Florida.
