Safety Concerns Arise as ‘Rust’ Armorer Faces Conviction for Accidental Death
According to Popculture, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed who helped with guns on the ‘Rust’ movie set has been found guilty of accidentally causing someone’s death. But the jury said she didn’t try to hide what happened after the accident. This comes after a lot of talk about safety on the ‘Rust’ set especially because Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed someone there. During the trial they showed videos from the ‘Rust’ movie set. These videos had Alec Baldwin in them rushing and asking for more shooting scenes. Another person, Bryan Carpenter, talked about how dangerous it was to rush with guns. He said it was especially dangerous because Hannah Gutierrez-Reed didn’t try to slow things down when Alec Baldwin was hurrying. But they also said she was new to the job and it might have been hard for her to tell Alec Baldwin to be safer.
