According to KRQE, The New Mexico Health Care Authority is helping people affected by the South Fork and Salt fires. They can get food help for one month. You can go to one of three offices in Ruidoso, Roswell, and Alamogordo to apply. The offices are open from 8am to 6pm from July 10-12 and July 14-17. If you can’t go to the office, you can call 1-800-283-4465.
You need to tell them your last name and how much money you make. This will help decide how much food help you get. You can get this help if you lost your home, belongings, or income because of the fires.
