A 33-year-old Arizona woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her parents at their home in the village of Oak Creek, Sedona, in a shocking incident early Saturday morning. According to the Arizona Daily Independent, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing call just after 5:30 a.m. reporting a stabbing on Coffee Pot Rock Drive. The YCSO patrol sergeant encountered the suspect upon arriving at the scene and identified her as a 33-year-old Arizona woman named Lauren Levinson who was outside her parents’ residence. The 33-year-old Arizona woman was swiftly taken into custody without resistance. The sergeant discovered Levinson’s parents suffering from severe stab wounds inside the home. Levinson’s mother bore the brunt of the attack with numerous stab wounds to her back causing significant injuries. Her father was also stabbed multiple times in his arm. Fortunately, the quick actions of Levinson’s brother who was alerted and present at the scene proved crucial. He assisted the sergeant in applying life-saving measures to his injured parents. This included applying pressure to his mother’s wounds to protect her lung function and using a tourniquet to control bleeding from his father’s arm.

Mother Airlifted to Flagstaff Trauma Center After Daughter’s Brutal Attack

Emergency medical services arrived promptly to take over medical care. Levinson’s mother was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center‘s trauma unit due to the severity of her injuries. Her father was transported by ambulance to Verde Valley Medical Center for immediate treatment. The motive behind the violent assault remains unclear as the investigation continues. The community of the Village of Oak Creek which was known for its tranquility has been deeply shaken by this disturbing incident. The authorities are working diligently to gather more details and ensure the safety of the neighborhood. Lauren Levinson currently remains in custody while facing serious charges related to the attack on her parents.
