According to the Washington Examiner, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is about to sign a new budget plan. The plan is very expensive, costing $53.1 billion, and includes taxes on businesses. It also gives money to certain industries, like music, theater, and electric cars.

Some Republicans don’t like this plan. They think it was passed too quickly and without enough notice. One Republican leader, Patrick Windhorst, said that the Democrats who made the plan didn’t follow their own rules and that it was not fair to the Americans.

Pritzker didn’t like the original plan because it didn’t have enough help from the federal government. Many Americans who used to benefit from the program are upset because it is no longer available.
