According to Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty, retired U.S. Army Colonel Alexander Crowther recently talked about helping Ukraine in its war. He said if Ukraine loses it’s bad for Europe. He wants European countries to send help to Ukraine. But some countries don’t want to send soldiers. Instead, he suggests sending people to fix things and help with technology in western Ukraine.

Retired U.S. Army Colonel Stresses Understanding Putin in Dealing with Russia and Supporting Ukraine

Crowther thinks it’s important to be careful about where help goes in Ukraine. He says we should make it clear to Russia that Western soldiers won’t go too far. He thinks focusing on protecting Ukraine from air attacks is a good idea. He believes this can help without making things worse.

Crowther also talked about Russian President Vladimir Putin. He thinks Putin wants to be remembered as a strong leader. Putin wants to stay in power for a long time.
