North Korea Military Conducts Exercises Near South Korean Border under Kim Jong Un
According to NK News, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw military exercises near the border with South Korea. These drills, called “Freedom Shield,” happened while the United States and South Korea were doing joint military training. Kim wants his country’s military to be ready for any threats from outside. The North Korean soldiers practiced attacking a South Korean border post. They fired rockets and other weapons during the exercises. Kim wants his military to be strong and prepared for any real battle. Top North Korean military leaders were also present at the drills.
