Floyd County School District’s Response to Employee Facing Serious Charges

A worker from Floyd County School District, named John Martin is in serious trouble. He’s been accused of  first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy from a long time ago between 1995 and 1997 according to the report of YWMT. The school district learned about this and quickly did something to keep students safe. They moved Martin to a job where he can’t be around students. The school district cares a lot about students and wants to make sure they’re safe during all of this.

Floyd County School District’s Careful Response to Employee Accusations

The school district can’t talk about the exact details of what happened because of the law. But they’ve said they’re working with the police. A person representing the school district mentioned that everyone even a school worker is supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty. The school district can’t just fire someone because they’re accused of something. They’ve moved the worker to a different job for now to be extra cautious. The school district is trying to do what’s right for everyone keeping students safe and respecting the rules.
