The Minnesota Department of Revenue announced that an amount of up to $1,300 will be sent to taxpayers in the state.

$1,300 Checks for Taxpayers in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Revenue announced that there are around 150,000 uncashed checks from the eligible taxpayers in the country. The revenue agency said that these checks might be thrown away or the addresses of the taxpayers might not be updated.

In a published article in The U.S. Sun, those who are earning $75,000 or less could receive a one-time payment of $260, couples making $150,000 or less got $520, and parents in this range got a further $260 per child for a maximum of three children. Moreover, the maximum amount of the rebate is $1,300.

How To Claim the Uncashed Checks?

According to the official website of the Minnesota Department of Revenue, there were around 150,000 uncashed checks that may have been junk. The department said that taxpayers should double-check their mail because they will re-issue the checks beginning mid-November and 1st week of December.

Furthermore, those who found their checks should cash them as soon as possible, but those who believed that they threw them away or had lost them should not worry because they will continue to contact those who have not yet claimed the payment.
