Fake Murder for Hire Hitman Solicited After Florida Mother Requests Her 3-Year-Old Son Be Killed

Jazmin Paez was arrested and charged for soliciting a murder for hire hitman to kill her 3-year-old son. However, Paez apparently entered a fake website where the owner refers those who inquire about his services to the law enforcement.

Murder for Hire Incident

Authorities from the Miami-Dade Police Department state that the incident began when Jazmin Paez, 18, entered the rentahitman.com website and solicited a murder for hire hitman to kill her 3-year-old son. However, the murder for hire website was a parody owned by a man named Bob Innes in California.

According to a published article in METRO, Paez filled out an online form with all of her information under the pseudonym “Daphne”. In the form, Paez allegedly stated how she wanted a hitman to handle the murder for hire and take her son far away. In addition, Paez also sent photos of the child and a location of where he was staying.

Authorities state that they received the tip from Innes at around 6:18 p.m. from which the case was handed over to the department’s Vice Squad. At around 7:00 p.m., detectives began investigating Paez’s residence. One of the detectives went undercover, posing as a hitman from the website, and was offered by Paez with $3,000 for the murder for hire.

Charges Faced by Paez for Murder for Hire

An article in CBS News states that on July 18, Paez was arrested and faced charges of first-degree soliciting of murder on July 19. However, Paez was released after paying a bond of $15,000 and being ordered to have no contact with her child. Authorities state that the Department of Children and Family Services of Florida is also investigating the murder for hire incident.
