Democratic Representative Maxwell Frost, the youngest member of the House of Representatives, urged the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden to immediately grant relief to student loan borrowers. This initiative was made after the Supreme Court blocked the Student Debt Relief Plan which intends to cancel up to $20,000 in student loans for borrowers who earn less than $125,000.

According to Poff, the administration of Biden is already pursuing some alternatives to implement the Student Debt Relief Plan. The alternatives included issuing a rule under the Higher Education Act last week. Reports say the Department of Education announced that it will implement a Student Debt Relief Plan for more than 800,000 borrowers through an amendment of an income-driven repayment program.
