A Drive-By Shooting Incident That Killed Ulysses Campos

9-year-old, Ulysses Campos was attending his grandmother’s birthday party in a Chicago suburb on July 8 was tragically killed when he was shot in the chest.

Village of Franklin Park, Facebook page reported that While Ulysses Campos was there at his grandmother’s house he had been playing with a group of children in an alley late Saturday when four to six shots were fired from a moving vehicle, Franklin Park police director Michael Witz said in a statement Sunday night.

AP News reported that Ulysses Campos was hit in the chest, at approximately 10:15 pm and died during the drive-by shooting after being taken to Loyola Hospital in Maywood, police said.

Aside from Ulysses Campos one else was struck by gunfire drive-by shooting, which occurred in a Franklin Park neighborhood about a mile outside Chicago’s western city limits.

According to the police that Fox News reported that the person responsible for the shooting was already taken into custody, and officers also discovered a car suspected to be involved in the shooting in nearby Leyden Township.

The Franklin Park Police Department is seeking assistance from the public and asking for anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call investigators at 847-678-2444.
