Recipients who file individually obtain $914 every month, while eligible couples receive $1,371, and essential persons, who live with people acquiring SSI payments and provide them with necessary care, get a monthly payment of $458, according to the SSA.

Here’s How To Qualify For The $914 Direct Payment From Social Security Supplemental Income

SSI payments are offered on top of regular Social Security benefits. The Social Security Supplemental Income provides a monthly payment to adults and children with blindness or another disability and has a small amount of earnings.

In order to qualify for SSI, an applicant should be beyond 65, be totally or partially blind, or suffer from a “physical or mental challenge that very seriously restricts their daily activities for a period of 12 months or more or may be expected to result in death.”

Every first of each month the payments are often disbursed, there are instances that need to be except if the first falls on a weekend or a holiday. In those circumstances, the SSA sends its monthly SSI checks on the last business day prior to the beginning of the month.
