A middle school student at Trickum Middle School was busted bringing marijuana and a gun inside his bag after a report from school staff.
Marijuana and Gun Found Inside the Bag of a Middle School Student
School officials confirmed at Trickhum Middle School that one of their students was found bringing marijuana and an unloaded gun. The student was caught after school staff reported to the school officials that the student seems suspicious.
In a published article in FOX News, school officials that they brought the student to a secure location for questioning. They clarified that it was part of the school’s safety and security protocol. Prior to this, the school principal Ryan Queen said that he sent a letter to the parents of the middle school student and wrote that a school staff suspected the student was bringing a gun and marijuana.
The school administrators then searched the bag of the middle school student after questioning. After they found the marijuana and unloaded gun inside the bag, they immediately reported this to the campus police.

School Principal Released a Letter
Trickhum Middle School principal Ryan Queen released a letter regarding this matter and wrote, “In accordance with safety and security protocols, bringing drugs, guns, or other weapons to school is not tolerated. t is not only a violation of our student disciplinary code; it is against the law. Rest assured, the student involved will face school disciplinary consequences and criminal charges.”
He also added, “I understand hearing about this may be unsettling, but I want to reassure you Gwinnett County Public Schools and Trickum Middle School take the safety and security of our students seriously. The safety of our entire school community is our number one priority.”
Moreover, Queen also thanked the staff member for reporting the incident which helped to avoid a potentially dangerous situation.
