Eight Hermès bags valued at a total of $242,000 were stolen in a smash and grab robbery in Park Avenue, New York. To date, three suspects are on the loose and investigations about the incident are still ongoing.
On March 7, at around 4 a.m., a surveillance video provided by the New York Police Department (NYPD) captured a white Acura sedan arriving at the smash and grab crime scene. The video also revealed that three individuals exited the car while a driver had remained inside.According to Wehner, in one angle, two of the suspects who exited the car appeared to be carrying hammers. From another, the three suspects of the smash and grab robbery were captured walking up to the front windows of a building. One was standing at the corner, appearing to be on the lookout, while another stepped out of the video frame. The third suspect walked up to the front windows and took a strike at it with the hammer.

Smash and Grab Suspects At Large
According to Parascandola, the building that was involved in the smash and grab robbery incident was the Heritage Auctions, a high-end auction house, located at 445 Park Avenue in New York City. After almost ten strikes, the entire panel was pulled out and the suspects have gained access through the building’s front window. They have immediately grabbed and stolen the eight Hermès bags that were reportedly valued at a total of $242,000. To date, the New York Police are still searching for the three suspects on the loose and investigations about the smash and grab robbery incident is still ongoing.
