Alaska

An article on MARCA states that the state of Alaska will continue to issue their Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) from the year 2022. The PFD is a payment for the residents of Alaska allocated as part of the allocation of the state’s oil profits. The inflation relief payments, combined with the energy relief payments, are worth $3,284. Unfortunately, the residents of Alaska have to report these payments on their 2023 tax returns.

Connecticut

In the state of Connecticut, the plan to issue a bonus cash to employees who worked amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic is continued. Based on the employees’ incomes, they can expect to receive $200 up to $1,000. To date, roughly 20,000 inflation relief payments are being issued through Connecticut’s Premium Pay program. Around 120,000 are being issued through direct deposit payments, while 35,000 more will be receiving paper checks in their mails.

Idaho

According to Avery, in the state of Idaho, the state’s Tax Commission is issuing 75,000 inflation relief checks every week. Therefore, the residents of Idaho can expect to receive a tax rebate as the state intends to issue more than 800,000 inflation relief checks by the end of this month. Reportedly, individual filers will receive $300, while joint filers will receive $600.

Maine

Lastly, in the state of Maine, Governor Janet Mills signed the Emergency Energy Relief Plan into law in January. This plan was intended to aid the residents of Maine with the increasing costs of inflation and energy. To date, the state has already issued roughly 200,000 payments of $450 every week. Reportedly, around 880,000 residents are eligible for the inflation relief plan. To be eligible for the inflation relief payments, an individual must be a full-time resident of Maine and must have not been claimed as a dependent in the 2021 tax returns.
