Georgia Cop Fired, Charged In Connection With Missing Teen’s Death

Miles Bryant is now facing charges in connection with a missing teenager’s death. The Georgia cop has initially been fired after being accused of kidnapping and murdering the victim.

On July 26, 2022, authorities received reports of a missing teenager, Susana Morales, 16. Morales has last been heard from around 9:40 p.m. that day when she texted her mom that she was on her way home. Reports say Morales died between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. on the same day.

According to Eberhart, last February 6, Morales’ dead body was found naked around 20 miles from where she was last seen alive. In connection with Morales’ case, Miles Bryant, 22, a Georgia cop was suspected of sexual assault. However, as of February 22, Bryant has not been charged with any sex-based crimes when Gwinnett County Police Chief James McClure announced the new charges for Bryant.

Raised Charges Against Georgia Cop

According to Lenthang, immediately after Bryant’s arrest, the Doraville Police Department fired the Georgia cop. Reportedly, the city of Doraville was notified on February 13 that the Gwinnett Police served felony arrest warrants to the Georgia cop in connection with the disappearance and death of Morales.

Prosecutors raised the charges against the Georgia cop who is now facing charges of kidnapping and murdering Morales while he was still on the police force. Originally, the Georgia cop only faced charges of false reporting of a crime and concealing the death of another. To date, the Georgia cop is still being held at the Gwinnett Detention Center with no bond.
