Brian Laundrie, boyfriend of YouTuber Gabby Petito, was reported missing by his lawyer on Friday, just as police officers arrived at Laundrie’s house in Florida.

ABC 7 said Laundrie’s attorney, Steven Bertolino, the 23-year-old went missing after his family members last saw him on Tuesday morning.

Bertolino cautioned the media that Brian Laundrie’s whereabouts are still unknown. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now searching for both Petito and her lover, according to Laundrie’s lawyer.

Petito’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, does not accept the lawyer’s assertions that Laundrie went missing, claiming that her daughter’s lover was hiding.

Schmidt became enraged when he learned that Laundrie was hiding while Gabby was gone.

Police Arrives in Brian Laundries Home in Florida

On Friday, the authorities reached and arrived at Petito’s boyfriend’s Florida house, confirming that Laundrie had gone missing.

The Daily Mail said the police officers left Laundrie’s house and seemed to get an evidence bag from their car before entering the Florida property.

According to videos posted online, the police officers entered Laundrie’s house after being permitted by an unknown family member. All police departed the area after more than two hours without seeing anybody from Laundrie’s family.

In a tweet, North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison stated that the discussion between his officers and the Laundrie family was completed and that a statement will be issued. The chief asked the public to give them time to sort out the specifics, promising that “information would be forthcoming.”

Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmidt, expressed his gratitude to the family of their daughter’s boyfriend for allowing police investigators to enter their house and cooperating with them. On the other hand, Petito’s father said that he would not guess since he does not know what to believe.

Meanwhile, a North Port Police Agency spokesman said that the department has additional information to examine in Petito’s case, but they are unable to disclose it.

“For the most part, this has been a very rapidly evolving issue here in within the past hour,” a department spokesman said, adding that they want to make sure their agency’s statements are accurate.
