Expect Cooler Nights in Houston and the I-45 Corridor as Texas Cold Front Moves In Today

A cold front is set to sweep across Texas today, bringing an end to the unseasonably warm weather that has been experienced. As a result, residents of Houston and the surrounding areas can expect a significant drop in temperatures overnight, with lows ranging from the mid-40s to the lower 50s.

The National Weather Service predicts that Monday will bring a high temperature of 83°F. In the evening, the weather will become cloudy, bringing cooler air. As the cold front fully arrives, Tuesday will have highs around 70°F and a low near 46°F. Commuters driving along I-45 should be ready for crisp conditions in the morning and should have warm clothing on hand.

As we delve into the upcoming week, Wednesday will see a slight recovery with temperatures reaching a high of 85°F. However, Thanksgiving Day will bring notably cooler weather. Anticipate daytime highs hovering around 68°F, with temperatures dropping to 46°F by Thursday night. These conditions make for a perfect atmosphere for outdoor holiday gatherings. Additionally, it’s worth noting that dry skies are expected, which is excellent news for those traveling along major highways such as I-10 and US-59.

Friday’s weather will be cool and sunny, offering a perfect opportunity for post-holiday outdoor activities, with a high temperature of 61°F. The weekend is expected to maintain steady temperatures, although there is a slight possibility of rain on Saturday night.

Make sure to plan your travel arrangements in advance and dress warmly for evening activities. Keep a close eye on the weather forecast, particularly if you have Thanksgiving trips or outdoor events planned.
