Teenage actor from Baby Driver, Hudson Joseph Meek, tragically dies at 16 after falling from a moving vehicle


Hudson Joseph Meek, the young actor known for his role in Baby Driver, passed away at the age of 16 last Thursday.

Last week, there was a heartbreaking incident in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, where the teenage actor was tragically thrown out of a moving vehicle.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the individual suffered blunt force trauma when he fell from the car around 10:45 p.m. This information was reported by local news outlet and NBC affiliate WVTM 13.

According to a report from ABC 33/40 News, the victim was transported to the UAB Hospital in Birmingham but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Saturday night. This occurred less than 48 hours after the coroner stated that he had been ejected from a moving vehicle.

According to WVTM, the Vestavia Hills Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Meek’s death.

Surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully passed away, as mentioned in his obituary.

Hudson Joseph Meek, the 16-year-old actor who gained recognition for his role in the film Baby Driver, tragically passed away. According to the obituary, it was disclosed that he had also contributed to several movies and shows that are set to be released in 2025, even after his passing.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post shared by his loved ones on his account, it was announced that Hudson Meek has passed away and gone to be with Jesus.

“He may have only lived for 16 years, but during that time, he achieved a great deal and left a lasting impression on everyone he crossed paths with.”

There will be a celebration of life in remembrance of Meek on December 28th.

In 2017, he achieved his breakthrough role in the movie Baby Driver. He has been involved in professional acting since 2014, when he made his debut in The Santa Con. Furthermore, he had notable roles in the MacGyver reboot and also made guest appearances on various television series. One of his notable appearances was in the NBC drama Found, as pictured in August 2016.

In memory of Hudson J. Meek, his loved ones are creating the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship.

Instead of sending flowers, the family of the deceased is kindly requesting donations to be made to the scholarship fund. This scholarship will be given out every year to a deserving student at Vestavia Hills High School.

Derek Firth Meek and Lani Wells Meek, along with their older son Tucker Firth Meek, are the surviving family members of the late individual. In addition, Margaret Green Meek and Faye Searcy Wells are his grandmothers.
