Amy Barela Takes Over as New Chair of New Mexico GOP

The Republican Party of New Mexico has appointed a new chairperson, Otero County Commissioner Amy Barela.

Barela takes over from Steve Pierce, who held the position for the past six years and decided not to seek another term. She officially began her role as chairwoman on Sunday.
