Some Republicans are thinking about cutting off military aid to Ukraine, so Zelensky is going to make one last plea in Washington.
Zelensky’s Urgent Plea in Washington Amid Threats of Military Aid Cuts
This week, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, will be running around Washington looking for any kind of help, as some GOP senators are mulling a bill that would stop supporting Ukrainians since Russians are pausing their ongoing attack.
Zelensky is set to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden and Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson to plead for additional ammo and weapons for Ukraine.
The focus will be on how the US must not withdraw its support during those times when Russia increases missile and drone attacks in Ukraine.

Political Standoff in Congress Over Ukraine Aid and Immigration Policies
President Biden has requested $61 billion in additional military aid for Ukraine, but Republican lawmakers are linking approval to tougher immigration measures.
Republicans are demanding stricter border policies, including immediate expulsion of migrants without asylum claims, fast-track deportations, and relinquishing the ability to admit specific groups of refugees.
Biden is open to compromises on immigration but is hesitant about surrendering the authority to allow specific refugee groups into the country. This deadlock in negotiations has stalled progress on the funding bill for Ukraine and other critical security needs.
