The Panthers secured a 5-2 victory with contributions from players like Gustav Forsling, Carter Verhaeghe, Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, and Eetu Luostarinen, who scored goals or assisted in scoring. Anthony Stolarz’s 18 saves and Sam Reinhart’s four assists were also key factors in their win.
Coach Paul Maurice praised the goalkeepers’ performance and highlighted how the Panthers stayed consistent throughout the game. He also acknowledged that both teams had a tough time turning their opportunities into goals.
Forsling’s initial goal boosted the Panthers, allowing them to control the puck more and demonstrate their preparedness for the upcoming road trip.
