Georgian President Salomé Zourabichvili Criticizes Putin’s Handling of Conflict

President Salomé Zourabichvili appeared to be critical of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, suggesting that he had already lost the initial rounds of this conflict. She framed the ongoing conflict as a struggle not just of military might but also a “KGB-like war,” highlighting the changing strategies and the Prigozhin case as signs of Putin’s unmet ambitions.

Zourabichvili’s comments come amid political tensions in Georgia, with her government not approving several of her foreign visits.
