According to Kika, despite the national polls exhibiting that the criminal indictments seem to have only a little impact, some former Trump supporters showed signs of revolt. Reports say, for instance, around 15 former Trump supporters in the state of Arizona opposed the Republican’s continued pursuit of the presidency.
Less Likely to Vote for Trump
According to Reid, following the criminal indictments, a poll conducted by Ipsos last July found that around 37% of Independent voters were less likely to vote for Trump. On the other hand, a poll conducted by Morning Consult earlier this month found that around 20% of Republican voters supported the charges filed against Trump. Lastly, a more recent poll conducted by Ipsos and Politico found that around 33% of various respondents stated that a conviction would make them less likely to support Trump in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections.
