MLB restricted list now includes Wander Franco after the 22-year-old player from Tampa Bay Rays was proven by the Dominican Republic authorities to have a relationship with a minor.
Dominican Authorities Pressed Wander Franco on MLB Restricted List
According to CBS Sports, the MLB restricted list rooted to the posts circulating on social media about Wander Franco’s alleged relationship with a minor that came to the knowledge of his team. This prompted the Dominican authorities to look into the matter and found out that the allegations were true. Rays and Wander Franco both approved to put him on the MLB restricted list.
It was reported that the team’s six-game road trip began on August 14, Monday night, and will end on August 20. Unfortunately, since Wander Franco was on MLB restricted list, he won’t be able to continue playing with the Rays.

Tampa Bay Rays Understand Why Wander Franco Laid on MLB Restricted List
The Rays have expressed full understanding of the MLB restricted list issue and said that they support any move the league will make. Wander Franco’s club has added that they do respect all the people involved which is why they refused to give more comments at the time being. Despite Wander Franco being on the MLB restricted list, he will still get paid during his shortstop.
