Timothy Bliefnick, 39, a former family feud contestant will face life imprisonment in West Illinois after a verdict came out from a hearing on Friday, August 11. Timothy Bliefnick was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion in connection with the death of his 41-year-old nurse-wife, Rebecca Bliefnick.

Timothy Bliefnick’s Joke About Regret Marrying His Wife Turned into a Bloody Murder

According to a report from 5 Chicago, Timothy Bliefnick and his family once played in the popular and long-time-running show Family Feud in 2020. In the segment, Timothy Bliefnick was asked a question by Steve Harvey about the biggest mistake he did at his wedding- and Timothy Bliefnick answered by saying “I do”.

Timothy Bliefnick’s horrendous murder can be traced back to February 14. The couple was under divorce proceedings at the time and both issued a restraining order to each other. An article from People stated that during this night, Timothy Bliefnick has seen a parked car outside Rebecca’s house. Timothy Bliefnick found out later that it belonged to Rebecca’s boyfriend for several months.

On February 23, Timothy Bliefnick invaded Rebecca’s house armed with a gun. Timothy Bliefnick allegedly fired at Rebecca at a close range, about 14 times when their three children were sound asleep in their beds.

Rebecca’s body was discovered by a family member after she failed to fetch their children from school. Timothy Bliefnick was arrested in March and was convicted in June.

Timothy Bliefnick Claimed that his Estranged Wife was a Victim of a Violent Home Invasion

Timothy Bliefnick has reportedly told the authorities that Rebecca’s death was not his doings and probably a violent home invasion incident but the police refused to believe his statement.

A four-day trial court in May pressed Timothy Bliefnick as concrete evidence was seen in his internet searches such as “how to break into a window with a crowbar” and “how to create a homemade gun silencer”.
