Democratic lawmakers joined activists in demanding that the U.S. Congress take action on Medicare Advantage scam. Reports say so-called Medicare scams are solicited by fraudulent insurance companies.
On July 25, Democratic lawmakers in the U.S. joined health campaigners, senior citizens, and people with disabilities at a press conference on Capitol Hill to demand action from the U.S. Congress. Reports say the activists called on the Congress to reclaim the Medicare program and end the Medicare Advantage scam solicited by fraudulent insurance companies.According to Wilkins, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts stated that lawmakers attended the activism to raise concerns about the Medicare Advantage scam. Warren further stated that Medicare Advantage scam are the result of private insurance companies failing both beneficiaries and taxpayers after substituting traditional Medicare coverage.
In addition, Warren stated that Medicare Advantage scam are whenever private insurance companies extract more funds from the federal government. Experts reportedly estimate that private insurance companies are expected to receive more than $75 billion in overpayments this year which is one of the Medicare Advantage scam.

Prohibiting Medicare Advantage Scam
According to Johnson, on January 31, Democratic U.S. Representatives Mark Pocan of Wisconsin, Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, and Ro Khanna of California reintroduced legislation that would block Medicare Advantage scam. Reports say the legislation intends to prohibit insurance companies from using Medicare in their health plans.
