Alameda County District Attorney With Ties to Liberal Billionaire Urged To Be Removed From Office

A political committee launched a recall campaign against Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. Reports say Price must be removed from office after receiving funding from liberal billionaire donor George Soros.

On July 11, a political committee launched a recall campaign against Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. The campaign named “Save Alameda For Everyone (Safe): Recall DA Price” is an effort to remove the Alameda County District Attorney from office.

According to Kessler, the Alameda County District Attorney was accused of receiving funding from liberal billionaire donor George Soros to elect reformist candidates. Reports say the California Justice and Public Safety PAC provided a total of $699,647 to the Alameda County District Attorney’s campaign in 2018. In addition, Soros also donated $6.1 million to the other liberal candidates.

Alameda County District Attorney’s Campaign

According to Swan, the Alameda County District Attorney ran for office on a reformist platform. Reports say the Alameda County District Attorney pledged to end the death penalty and to stop filing charges against children as adults.

Unfortunately, the Alameda County District Attorney was criticized for her indulgent approach. The Alameda County District Attorney received backlash after refusing to extend the sentences for two suspects who shot children to death.
