According to Dale, following the Trump indictment, the former U.S. President claimed that Bragg’s 2021 election campaign was funded by Soros. However, Michael Vachon, Soros’ spokesperson, argued that the billionaire and District Attorney have never once communicated in any means.
Claims Following Trump Indictment Debunked
According to Schwartz, Soros is a continuing supporter of the Democrats and its causes that advocate criminal justice reform. However, Soros has reportedly been a constant target of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that portrays him as a mastermind of several US and international events. Following the Trump indictment, Soros had been accused of funding Bragg’s 2021 election campaign this time. However, instead of directly contributing to Bragg’s candidacy, Soros claims to only be a major donor of PAC (political action committee) that supported the Manhattan DA.
Reports say Bragg’s campaign was supported by PAC which is associated with non-profit advocacy group Color of Change. The group was reportedly co-founded by Van Jones in 2005 and intends to advocate criminal justice reform among other causes.
