Tommy Grays III was murdered during a vacation on an Isla Verde beach in Puerto Rico. Reports say the Maryland teen stopped an altercation from happening but the suspect returned and shot at the victim.

Tommy Grays III was a rising junior student at James Hubert Blake High School in the county of Montgomery in Maryland. On July 1, the Maryland teen went on a vacation on an Isla Verde beach near the Casa Cuba club in Puerto Rico with his family.

However, according to Sabes, the Puerto Rico Police Bureau stated that following an altercation, the Maryland teen was shot to death. On the morning of July 2, Carlos Aníbal Rosado Martínez, who authorities believed to be the suspect, turned himself in in connection to the shooting.

Maryland Teen Stopped An Altercation

Unfortunately, an article in FOX 5 DC states that the Maryland teen was seen as a villain by some individuals in Puerto Rico. However, the Maryland teen’s father, Tommy Grays, claimed that his son was not violent and had never been in a physical fight in the past.

Grays added that the Maryland teen actually stopped an altercation that involved a different family member and the suspect, Rosado Martínez. Following the altercation, the Maryland teen allegedly walked back to the beach with his stepfather when Rosado Martínez returned with a gun and shot at them.
