Elon Musk‘s tweet comes at around 1 p.m. on Saturday announcing the numbers of daily limit on Twitter posts that a user can view.
New unverified accounts have 300 posts every day, unverified accounts have 600 posts every day, and verified accounts have a 6000 daily limit on Twitter posts.
According to Elon Musk, they come up with this decision to address extreme levels of system manipulation and data scraping in the platform.
The #RateLimitExceeded and #TwitterDown lingered on the social media platform after thousands of users reported that they can’t use the app.
In the afternoon after he made the announcement, he also tweeted that the rates of the daily limit on Twitter posts a user can view will increase soon making 400 posts for new unverified accounts, 800 for unverified accounts, and 8,000 posts for verified accounts. But, later in the evening, he announced that they had increased the daily limit on Twitter a user can view per day to 0.5k, 1k, and 10k.
According to DownDetector, the issue began at around 8 a.m. on Saturday and lasted throughout the afternoon. There are 7,000 reports regarding the website’s issue at 1 p.m. on the day of the reported issue.

Other reports from other users including they were unable to retrieve tweets and prompting the error message. Other users tweeted directly to Elon Musk saying their Twitter isn’t working and asking whether their reading tweets were limited.
More than 8,000 disruptions were reported. The issue with the daily limit on Twitter posts a user can view per day is just one of the service disruptions that Twitter has faced since Elon Must took over the app.
