Deadline For 2022 New Mexico Tax Rebate

According to the MENAFN website, the deadline for filing your income tax return is on May 31. You should file as soon as possible to claim a rebate of up to $1,000. Heads of households and couples who are filing jointly will get $1,000, while single filers can get $500.

Residents are reminded that they need to file their tax returns to qualify for the tax rebate.

If you didn’t receive your tax rebates even if you are done filing your 2021 income tax return, it might be because of the incorrect address.

You can visit the taxpayer access point website at tap.state.nm.us to update your address or you can fill out a form rpd-41260 to the Taxation and Revenue Department.

The New Mexico Tax Rebate

Since the rebates on 2023 are tied to the 2021 return, those who change their address in the filing last 2021 already updated it, so those who filed their 2021 Personal Income Tax don’t need to take any further action to claim the rebate this year.

The Taxation and Revenue Department confirmed that they will not send the Nex Mexico rebates 2020 until late June. Taxpayers have ample time to update and change their address to get the money without delay if the payment will start.
