On May 5, the plan to distribute $4,000 worth of Stimulus Check 2023 under the RAFT program in San Diego, California was approved and announced. The RAFT program was established by a Jewish Family Service non-profit group to assist as many as 2,250 low-income adults, seniors, and families recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Buckby, the Jewish Family Service website states that the Stimulus Check 2023 will be available, especially to families with children below 18 and to seniors who are at risk of being homeless. The organization added that the financial assistance will help recipients connect to resources that will maximize the funds and support them in the future.

Who will qualify for the Stimulus Check 2023?

An article in CBS 8 states that to be able to qualify for the Stimulus Check 2023, an applicant’s annual income must not be more than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. This means that a household of four must not earn more than $60,000 every year and a single individual must not earn more than $30,000.

Unfortunately, not all households that meet the eligibility requirement will be able to claim the Stimulus Check 2023. Those who are eligible will still be selected randomly until the funds are completely depleted. Reports say the payments will be wired directly to the selected recipients’ bank accounts in the form of a grant.
