Donald Trump, Republican

According to Jones, first in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Donald Trump, 76, who officially launched his bid for the U.S. Presidency last November 15. Trump announced his decision in his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Unfortunately, Trump’s announcement faced several investigations for his attempts to overturn the 2020 elections last January 6 and other scandals and controversies.

Steve Laffey, Republican

Second in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Steve Laffey, 61, the former mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island. Laffey reportedly announced his bid for the U.S. Presidency last February 2. Unfortunately, given the lack of recognition in his name or experience in the federal government, Laffey is most likely a long-shot for the Presidency.

Nikki Haley, Republican

Third in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Nikki Haley, 51, who was the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. during the administration of Trump. Haley is noted to be the most distinguished Republican to oppose Trump. In 2010, she was the first female governor of South Carolina. However, in 2017, she resigned during her second term to be Trump’s ambassador until 2018. Haley reportedly announced her bid for the U.S. Presidency last February 14.

Vivek Ramaswamy, Republican

Fourth in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Vivek Ramaswamy, 37, who is a multimillionaire businessman and founder of a major biotech company. The Indian-American is also the author of “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam”. Ramaswamy reportedly announced his bid for the U.S. Presidency last February 21.

Perry Johnson, Republican

Fifth in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Perry Johnson, 75, who ranked third for the presidential picks conducted by the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Although Johnson has no experience in an elected office, he has long been in business in Michigan. Johnson reportedly announced his bid for the U.S. Presidency last March 1.

Asa Hutchinson, Republican

Fifth in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Asa Hutchinson, 72, who was a former governor of Arkansas and has appeared to be a non-believer of Trump despite being a Republican. Hutchinson reportedly announced his bid for the U.S. Presidency on April 2. However, he clarified that the official launch of his campaign would not happen until later in the month in his home state.

Marianne Williamson, Democrat

Fifth in the 2024 Presidential Election candidates is Marianne Williamson, 70, who is a best-selling book author. She initially ran for Presidency in the 2020 elections. This year, she wrote in an email to her supporters last February 26 that she would officially announce her bid for the U.S. Presidency on March 4.

Possible Rematch in the 2024 Presidential Election

An article on the ABC News states that current U.S. President Joe Biden, 80, has consistently reiterated that he intends to run for re-election in the 2024 Presidential Election. However, the Democrat has not formally announced his decision. This is because Biden believes there are several other things that have to be focused on before he starts his campaign. Nonetheless, Biden stated that a possible rematch with former U.S. President Trump does not deter him.
