The bill reportedly provides a current exemption to Arkansas sales tax or use tax. This exemption is for the water used in the commercial production of poultry.According to an article on JD Supra, the House Bill 1190 (HB 1190) intends to revise the Arkansas Code Annotated 26-52-453. This means that the amendment will include a swine farm as a facility used for the commercial production of swine.

What the Amendment Means
An article on the Mitchell Williams Law Firm website states that there is an amendment to the Arkansas Code Annotated 26-52-453. This means that the legislation would authorize for the water used in swine farming. This will be included in the exemption of Arkansas sales tax or use tax. To date, the law also requires that the water subject to the exemption must be separated from the metering system of the water used by the taxpayer in any other purpose. The House Bill 1190 (HB 1190) has reportedly been already referred to the House of Representatives Committee on Revenue and Taxation.
